AEW’s Fyter Fest is in the history books, so it’s only fitting that this week’s episode of Being The Elite takes place before, during and after the promotion’s second official show. To start off the episode, Kenny Omega plays out another Fyre Fest parody, telling a group of wrestlers that inclement weather has delayed delivery of their luggage to the venue. Thankfully, everyone seemed to have their gear on the show proper.
The Young Bucks include a set of travel clips on the way to Fyter Fest. When they arrive at Daytona Beach, they reminisce on the last time they were there, which was TNA’s 10-10-10 Bound for Glory event. The Young Bucks have since revealed that Fyter Fest drew more fans than TNA’s show in 2010, which is quite a feat for the young promotion. The Bucks also play out yet another mockery of Cody and Dustin’s emotional moment from Double or Nothing.
While on the Fyter Fest stage, we see Kenny Omega testing out the timing for the videos and music of his special Akuma entrance. There were several problems, including Kenny’s gear not arriving in time for the show. Later on, we see Private Party receiving a full-time contract offer from AEW backstage at the show. The Bucks state that they knew they had to sign the team after their impressive performance in the three-way tag team match during the Buy-In.
Several other behind the scenes clips are featured, including Cody walking through the entrance tunnel and a different angle on Kenny Omega’s post-show assault on Jon Moxley. This includes the cameraman falling over into a kiddy pool followed by a slow-motion replay of the botch.
