Despite WWE putting out advertisements that featured Eric Bischoff and reports from the Wrestling Observer saying he would be at SmackDown, that wasn’t the case. John Pollock of Post Wrestling has revealed that the former WCW head honcho wasn’t in attendance at all.
That doesn’t mean that WWE is getting cold feet on the hiring, though. Unlike Heyman, Bischoff wasn’t expected to start as soon as possible. Currently, he’s pinned to start after Extreme Rules goes down in Philadelphia and is in the process of moving to WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
