Rob Van Dam made his return to Impact Wrestling at Slammiversary, where he faced off against Moose. Throughout the match, Moose broke almost every rule in the book; he hit Rob Van Dam below the belt and tried to use a chair on his opponent. In the end, Rob Van Dam went for a Five Star Splash but Moose moved and Rob Van Dam landed on a chair. Moose pinned him after a spear.
