The Reason Alexa Bliss Missed WWE TV This Week

Alexa Bliss was nowhere to be seen this week on WWE TV. “Little Miss Bliss” missed both Monday Night RAW and SmackDown Live this week before Extreme Rules this weekend. Bliss will team up with Nikki Cross and challenge SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Bayley for her title. Cross continued to build the match with Bayley this week while Bliss was absent.

According to PWInsider and Wrestling Observer Radio, Bliss was actually dealing with some “sinus issues.” It was also noted that Bliss was backstage in Newark for Monday’s RAW but was not used due to the illness.

Bliss was originally scheduled to appear at a Connor’s Cure fundraiser presented in conjunction with California Pizza Kitchen at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, New Jersey. Despite reports to the contrary, Bliss did not make the appearance on Monday and she was replaced by Nikki Cross at the event. (It’s also worth noting Braun Strowman was replaced at the same event due to selling storyline injuries; he was replaced by Baron Corbin.)

As of this writing, it does not appear that Bliss’ sinus issues will affect her match with Bayley this weekend, but we’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
