Show is available at NJPWWorld.com

1ST MATCH: Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay & Yuya Uemura vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, SANADA & EVIL)

A solid opening match that is ALL ABOUT Ibushi and EVIL feeling each other out. It’s a heated, simple affair. Uemura continues to be a stud. ***

2ND MATCH: Suzuki-gun (Lance Archer & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) vs. Bullet Club (Chase Owens & Bad Luck Fale)

Fale and Archer tease an epic encounter with some epic, kaiju-sized brawling. If this match is any indication, they’re showdown on Sunday will be a blockbuster. ***1/4

3RD MATCH: Hiroshi Tanahashi, Shota Umino & Ren Narita vs. KENTA, Clark Connors & Karl Fredericks

This. Match. Slaps. So. Hard. A stunning Japanese debut for Connors & Fredericks from the LA Dojo. Tanahashi and KENTA take a back seat to the Young Lions, who wrestle like their lives depend on it. It’s rare for an undercard tag match to capture people’s attention the way this match has. ****1/4

4TH MATCH: CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI) vs. Suzuki-gun (Zack Sabre Jr. & Minoru Suzuki)

Good cool down match after the Young Lions burned the venue down. This match is heavy on the YOSHI-HASHI punishment. ***1/4

5TH MATCH: Juice Robinson vs. Shingo Takagi

Both men have been having phenomenal 2019’s making either outcome heartbreaking. Takagi’s dominance has been at the expense of the juniors, and now he gets to test his strength against the heavyweights. Juice Robinson continues to move away from his CJ Parker aesthetic, as he looks to find who he truly is in 2019. ***3/4

6TH MATCH: Jon Moxley vs. Taichi

This is a fast and furious brawl. Both men make their G1 debuts in thrilling fashion. A fun game to play: Watch this match and remind yourself that Moxley convinced WWE that he needed time off to recover and relax. ***1/2

7TH MATCH: Toru Yano vs. Tetsuya Naito

Yano gonna Yano. This match is a blast. ***1/4

8TH MATCH: Tomohiro Ishii vs. Jeff Cobb

An absolute masterclass in G1 action. Ishii and Cobb leave everything in the ring in this marathon of a match. Punches, elbows, suplexes, everything one wants from these two asskickers. Definitely going to be on people’s lists. ****1/2

MAIN EVENT: Hirooki Goto vs. Jay White

There are few things as terrifying as Hirooki Goto during G1 season. Add the fact that Jay White has been dragging Goto’s name through the mud, and what you’ve got is an absolute war. While Cobb and Ishii felt like the main event, this match did not disappoint. ****
