Speaking with TheWrap, Mandy Rose knows that wrestling isn’t going to last forever. “Being a WWE Superstar, you have– I don’t want to say a short shelf life, but it’s more like sometimes you’ve got to look to the future and you’ve gotta plan ahead.” The Tough Enough alum is already getting herself out there with several other projects. She has a fitness-based iOS app and an upcoming line of beauty projects, and she partially credits her early casting on WWE’s Total Divas with jumpstarting those endeavors. “I got put on with all the women who had been in the company for a very long time and had been doing this for a lot longer, and I’m the rookie starting.”
With the exposure to Total Divas’ more “mainstream audience”, Mandy is looking to stay in the spotlight long after her WWE days. She’s not worried about the reputation she’s building there either, knowing that it comes with the territory. “I always said, even in Developmental, ‘Yeah, I’m the beauty and all that. I’m the hot one, the sexy one — but I also have the brains and the strength to back it up.’ So, that was my biggest thing.”
