Update On Saudi Arabia WWE PPV Scheduled For November

The Wrestling Observer is reporting some news regarding the next time WWE will make a trip to Saudi Arabia. According to this week’s newsletter, reports now indicate that the next WWE show in Saudi Arabia is now back to its original date of November 1 in Riyadh.

At one point, WWE ended up canceling a number of European dates including the entire Italy tour, several U.K. shows, and rearranging television to where they were taping Raw and Smackdown now on the same night. RAW would be taped on Friday ahead of time because the Saudis wanted the show on a different date.

The show has now been reverted back to the original November 1 date. It is reported that the relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia has been filled with headaches. There has also been plenty of bad publicity for the company. The current situation now is that there is going to be a PPV on a Friday afternoon, and a few hours later there will be a live Smackdown from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. There is still a possibility that Smackdown could be taped the previous Monday or Tuesday instead. Wrestlezone will continue to provide the latest update on the planned PPV event for Saudi Arabia and the WWE taping schedule for that week.
