Mandy Rose recently spoke with Uproxx about her rise through the ranks of the WWE and what she and the company have planned for her next. During one particular part of the interview, Rose was asked about the potential of a romantic storyline involving her and best friend Sonya Deville. According to Rose, she might not have much insight to offer, but did acknowledge the rumors.
“I don’t have many insights to offer on that,” she said. “I think there’s definitely rumors and stuff like that. But it’s also hard to say because my character is pretty sexual and pretty sassy, the way I am. So anything I do, it doesn’t really matter if it’s to Sonya or to anyone else. It’s just who my character is, so it’s hard to judge. But I guess you’re just going to have to stay tuned, right? You never know.”
From the sounds of it, Rose doesn’t seem too sure what to think on the rumors, but did leave the door open enough for it to possibly happen. In the meantime, the tag team – named Fire & Desire – have a match with the IIconics coming up next week, and a victory will earn them a title match. Rose called the opportunity “very exciting,” especially with SummerSlam just around the corner.
As Rose continues to rocket through the ranks of the WWE, she’ll likely only be getting more and more chances to show off her skillset.
