Braun Strowman: I Will Win World Titles, ‘But It’s Not A Necessity Right Now’

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, The “Monster Among Men” sat down to discuss his current position in WWE. Despite getting massive crowd reactions reliably for years, Strowman hasn’t ever claimed singles gold. Instead, he’s shown up in big shows (wrong giant) in gimmicky matches, such as his interactions with SNL castmembers or his tag title win with a grade-schooler. When asked about this, Braun doesn’t foresee that happening forever. “I will main event WrestleMania. Hopefully more than once on my way to a Hall of Fame career.”

Strowman sees himself going against Drew McIntyre in the main event, and the end result is never in question. “I’ll tell you who will win: me.” To prepare for his true time in the spotlight, Braun says he watches lots of matches from the greats.

Andre The Giant, Big Show, Mark Henry, Kane, The Undertaker, I’m picking and choosing little things and mannerisms, and then putting my own twist on it. I’m not trying to be like anybody else, I’m trying to be the first Braun Strowman.

While Braun was seemingly headed towards another confrontation with Bobby Lashley at SummerSlam at some point, no match has materialized as of yet.
