WWE Cancels Scheduled NXT TV Tapings After USA Announcement, Mauro Ranallo On His Future

WWE Cancels Scheduled NXT TV Tapings After USA Announcement

WWE and USA Network have reached an agreement for NXT to begin airing live weekly on USA starting on September 18 from Full Sail University. The show will be two hours long each week and will air from 8-10 p.m. Eastern time on Wednesdays.

With the move, WWE will no longer tape episodes. Thus the next set of tapings have been canceled even though tickets have already been sold. WWE is giving the fans to transfer their tickets.

Thus, fans who bought tickets for September 11 will now be able to go to the show on September 18 and the same for September 12 to attend the September 25 episode.

WWE has issued a statement on the status of NXT on the WWE Network, which you can see here.

Mauro Ranallo Addresses His Future With WWE NXT

WWE NXT lead announcer Mauro Ranallo took to social media to address his future with the brand. There were some concerns about Ranallo, who battles with depression, due to history with the company.

Ranallo had previously been the lead announcer for SmackDown but left the position over travel issues. He wrote the following:

One more time for the kids in the back (& because Twitter can never take things at face value) I WILL BE ANNOUNCING @WWENXT ON @USA_Network EVERY WEDNESDAY AT @FullSail Now back to your regularly scheduled trol-I mean tweeting.#NXTOnUSA.
