205 Live Results (09/03/19): Humberto Carrillo Takes On Lince Dorado

Tonight’s 205 Live is set to feature a match with Humberto Carrillo – the new number one contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Champion – taking on Lucha House Party’s Lince Dorado. While initially big for Carrillo, the match became huge for Dorado, who was told if he could win, he would earn a shot at the title alongside Carrillo, making it a triple-threat match.

To check out the full results of tonight’s 205 Live, make sure to check out below:

Mike Kanellis defeated Tony Nese via pinfall

This one was a crazy match, with Kanellis almost losing multiple times before somehow flipping the momentum. After kicking out of a 450 from Nese and with the crowd chanting their approval, Kanellis landed a huge superkick to Nese, followed by the Cross-Rhodes for the victory. With Maria Kanellis watching backstage, Mike was able to claim a huge victory for himself.

Akira Tozawa & Brian Kendrick defeat Brandon Scott & Tyler Hastings via pinfall

This one was relatively short, and saw Tozawa and Kendrick teaming up top dominate both Scott and Hastings. Things came to an end when Scott nailed Kendrick with a cheap shot, but Tozawa saved the day by dropkicking both Hastings and Scott, followed by a Roudnhouse kick to claim the victory.

Lince Dorado defeats Humberto Carrillo

Thanks to this win, Dorado earned himself a spot in the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match at Clash of Champions, and it was a big one. After both superstars went at it, Carrillo nearly had a victory, but Dorado was able to wrap up Carrillo for the victory.

After the match, Drew Gulak made his way out to assault Dorado while on the ramp, with Tony Nese shockingly coming out to also attack Carrillo. Both Nese and Gulak proceeded to throw Dorado and Carrillo back into the ring, where they then attacked the pair.
