WWE Creative Team Shakeup Confirmed

The creative team behind WWE has reportedly undergone a big shakeup. According to an initial report from F4WOnline.com – which was later confirmed by Pro Wrestling Sheet – one of Monday Night RAW’s longtime lead writers will be making the move to the SmackDown Live brand.

Ed Koskey – who is the longest-running lead writer for RAW – will now be working with SmackDown Live. Furthermore, Ryan Ward will also be taking time away for what is being described as unspecified reasons. This news comes after Steve Guerreri – the former lead writer for SmackDown Live – was let go from the company in July, and after reports that multiple script re-writes had to be completed for the show.

According to both reports, Jonathan Baeckstrom will now be the new lead writer for Monday night RAW. He’s been with the WWE for six years, and was also the former lead writer for 205 Live.

Ahead of the WWE debuting on FOX later this year, it’s also being reported that the writing team has been split up, with people being assigned to specific brands ahead of this fall. Only time will tell what this means for the company, but it’s an interesting development for both brands.
