GCW Curtain Call Results (9/30) GCW Says Goodbye To Joey, Jungle Boy & Marko

THIRD MATCH: David Starr vs. Tony Deppen

Deppen taunts Starr to start. They lock up. Starr takes Deppen to the mat and manipulates the fingers. Starr assaults the shoulder and elbow. Deppen breaks free and attacks Starr’s leg. Starr wriggles out.

Starr takes Deppen down and stretches the legs. Starr locks in a bridging deathlock. Starr transitions into cross-legged toe hold. Deppen gets to the ropes.

Starr takes Deppen to the mat and locks in a shoulder and arm lock. Deppen gets to the ropes. They fight to their feet and trade blows. Starr pummels Deppen in the corner. Deppen hits a knee strike. Deppen hits a sliding dropkick. Starr hits a springboard lariat. Starr hits a rope-assisted Complete Shot. Starr covers for two.

Starr chops away on Deppen’s chest. Deppen spits on Starr. Starr spits on his hand and smacks Deppen. Deppen hits a back elbow. Starr hits a chop. Deppen regains momentum and trips Starr. Deppen hits a Senton. Deppen covers for two.

Starr rolls out of the ring. Starr dodges a baseball slide. Starr hits a lariat. Starr back drops Deppen onto the apron. Starr and Deppen fight into the crowd. Deppen gets to the apron. Both men battle on the apron. Deppen backdrops Starr, tailbone-first, onto the apron. Deppen hits a Coffin Drop on Starr. Deppen gets Starr back in the ring. Deppen hits a Diving Double Stomp. Deppen covers for two.

Deppen dominates Starr in the corner. Deppen hits a sliding knee strike. Deppen covers for two. They trade stiff shots. Starr fights Deppen into the corner. Starr punishes Deppen in the coner. Deppen hits a knee strike. Deppen hits a double kick. Starr hits a lariat.  They trade blows. Starr spikes Deppen and covers for two. Deppen fights out of a brainbuster. Starr hits a vicious kick. Deppen counters a brainbuster. Deppen hits a headbutt. Deppen hits a double stomp. Starr dodges a knee strike with a rollup for two. Starr hits a brainbuster onto his knee. Starr covers for two.

Starr takes a nasty spill off the ropes. Deppen hits a vicious blow to the back of the head. Deppen covers for two. Deppen gets on Starr and starts pummeling him with mounted blows. Starr hits a lariat. They trade blows.

Starr and Deppen fight outside. They get back in the ring. Starr hits a powerbomb but Deppen hits a Yoshi Tonic. Starr hits a Powerbomb Backbreaker. Starr covers for two.  Deppen counters a lariat with a backslide and knee strike. Deppen hits a Busaiku Knee strike for the pinfall.

WINNER: Tony Deppen

After the match, Deppen and Starr almost come to blows.

FOUTH MATCH: GCW World Championship Four Way Fuckery Board Deathmatch: Nick Gage (c) vs. SHLAK vs. Matt Tremont vs. Orin Veidt

Veidt & Tremont trade blows. Tremont floors Veidt. Veidt hits a dropkick. Veidt takes out SHLAK. Veidt & Gage trade blows. Veidt counters a Piledriver and a chokebreaker. Veidt takes out Gage with a boot. Veidt suplexes Gage onto a board covered in halved-White Claw cans. Veidt takes out Tremont on the floor.

Tremont gets a chair thrown at his head, and a Gusset plate stuck in his forehead. SHLAK pummels Tremont, while commentary shouts out Chris Nowinski. SHLAK and Gage trade nearfalls in the ring. Tremont and Gage face off in the ring. Veidt runs in but gets double teamed by Tremont & Gage. Gage drapes a gusset plate board on Veidt and hits a senton.

Gage & Tremont double team SHLAK. Tremont goes for a pin but Gage breaks it up. Gage and Tremont trade blows. Tremont drives a fork into Gage’s skull. They trade blows. Veidt hits a Flying Forearm on Tremont. Veidt gets on the top rope. Veidt misses a 450 Splash. Veidt gets a styrofoam board covered in…KNIVES!? SHLAK bodyslams Veidt on the knife board. Gage hits a sliding Yakuza Kick on Veidt. SHLAK suplexes Gage onto a bunch of loose knives. SHLAK sends Tremont through a door. Gage gets a Power Drill and drills into Veidt’s face and hits a One Winged Angel for the pinfall.

WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION: Nick Gage (but at what cost…at what cost!?)

After the match, Gage has some derogatory words for Rickey Shane Page, who stole the GCW Title Belt back at the Nick Gage Invitational.

A Super Humman retrospective is played during the clean up. When you see it all, one after the other, you really realize just how much entertainment him and his friends have given us.

FIFTH MATCH: Scramble Match: Teddy Hart vs. Alex Zayne vs. Blake Christian vs. Chris Bey vs. Jordan Oliver vs. Shane Mercer vs. Mick Moretti

These matches are insane, so its just gonna be easier to give you the finish and tell you to watch it. I’ll try and keep some bullet points:

  • At one point, Mercer blocked a Tope Suicida from Zayne by suplexing him to the floor.
  • Teddy Hart still has a beautiful moonsault.
  • Blake Christian hit Joey Janela’s Apron Death Valley Driver.
  • Chris Bey hit a sickening apron DDT on Moretti.
  • A majority of this match has taken place on one-section of the apron.
  • Blake Christian did a 450 off the balcony, is Spiderman.
  • They eventually make it back in the ring.
  • Shane Mercer threw Zayne into Christian, who hurricanrana’d Christian into a 450 Splash on Moretti.
  • Look, this match is just nuts, ok? It’s bonkers.
  •  Shane Mercer threw Blake Christian out of the ring.
  • Shane Mercer pinned Mick Moretti with a Moonsault Fallaway Slam.

WINNER: Shane Mercer
