Cody Rhodes’ Attempt To Trademark ‘Dusty Rhodes’ Rejected

Cody Rhodes’ attempt to trademark the name Dusty Rhodes has been rejected, according to a recent report from Pro Wrestling Sheet. According to the report, the trademark – which seemed to be ready to be approved in November – has been rejected, due to the name being too similar to Dustin Rhodes, a trademark that’s already owned by the superstar.

The ruling says that any filings relating to “entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer” would cause confusion. According to Cody’s lawyers, however, the team is still confident that things will work out and that they’ll be able to lock down the trademark.
