While CM Punk isn’t a make-or-break ratings draw for the show, he’ll continue to sporadically appear on WWE Backstage in 2020.
Punk went to Twitter to clarify a report that he wouldn’t be on this week’s episode of the show. He revealed that he’ll next appear on the Jan. 21 edition of the program. As he said, media outlets can then “report on the dumb s—” he says.
I’ll be there on the 21st so you can report on the dumb shit I say.

Punk’s shocking return to WWE programming hasn’t resulted in an in-ring return, but it has resulted in quite a few fun moments. One of those just happened, in which he referenced his own wedding day firing by WWE when talking about Lana and Bobby Lashley’s wedding.
Check it out below:
Be a real shame if someone gets fired.
