WWE 2K20 Unplayable After Major ‘2020’ Glitch; 2K Support Says The Issue Has Been Resolved

The number “2020” did not bode well for WWE 2K20. Many gamers expecting to fire off the new year by doing some polygonal pugilism were left empty-handed as once the clock turned to 2020 in their respective areas, their copy of WWE 2K20 stopped working properly. Modes such as Career and Online were virtually inaccessible. 2K Games addressed the issue on Twitter and then have since announced as of 2:50 PM EST yesterday that the glitch has been fixed. Despite that, fans are still experiencing issues.

“Hey Superstars! We are aware of the issues related to #WWE2K20 crashing and are currently investigating. We are working towards a solution and will update you all when we have more information.”

“This issue has been resolved. Please make sure to restart your #WWE2K20 game to automatically download the fix. If you continue experiencing issues, please open a support ticket here: http://2kgam.es/2KHelpMe . Thank you again for your patience!”

There is a potential workaround the glitch, however (at least for PS4 and PC users). According to Mike (“TheShiningDown” on Twitter), you just have to turn your clock back one day on the console and the issues involved with the glitch should be gone. (h/t to Kotaku)

“hey players! crashing when trying to create anything? crashing when entering the Originals menu? you’re not alone! but I’ve got a fix! change your system date 1 day back. @WWEgames fucked up the game and made it force close in 2020 on most modes. not kidding. RT”

This workaround only works on PS4 and PC as XBox One does not allow you to change the system date on the console.
