According to a recent video on Fox’s WWE YouTube Channel, Charlotte tells the tale that NXT coach Sarah Amato simply suggested that she tried out a bridge while locking on her father’s classic hold and it ended up looking pretty great, so much that Simon Gotch suggested the “Figure Eight” name because it looked twice as good.
