Drew McIntyre Discusses His Empty Arena Match With Brock Lesnar

Drew McIntyre is facing off against Brock Lesnar later tonight for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36 in front of no fans. The match was filmed last week and Drew McIntyre recently had the opportunity to discuss this experience with the folks at Inside The Ropes.

Drew said, “I found out what was going on and obviously my reaction was disappointment and anger. I waited this long for an opportunity and it will not be the way I envisioned it. My match is a chance to be a feel good moment and bring a smile to people’s faces. I have wrestled in front of nobody before and we legit would have about 10 people in the crowd. It’s not like I haven’t wrestled in front of nobody before. I think Mania itself from top to bottom will be pretty unique.”

He continued by talking about discussing the match with his wife and still having the chance to make others happy during these tough times. He said he is trying his best to still be creative while in the confines of the situation they are currently in.

Drew compared the match to a bar fight as if a ring was put inside of a bar and two people will be going at it with nobody around. “Those cameras are going to pick up every hit that we give each other and we don’t hold back.”
