Adam Cole Beats Dexter Lumis, Gets Challenged By Karrion Kross

Adam Cole took on Dexter Lumis to close out tonight’s episode of NXT, and while he came away with a win, his clock began to tick by the end of the night.

Cole walked away with the win after getting some help from his Undisputed Era friends, as Bobby Fish distracted the referee long enough to allow Roderick Strong to get onto the apron and knock Lumis out. Afterward, Cole swirly pinned Lumis for the win.

Following the win, Cole chose to stay in the ring and gloat, but that didn’t work out so well. Shortly after the win, Lumis quickly got up, locking Cole in the Kata Gatame as Cole tried to tap out to no one. Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish attempted to run into the ring and help, but a surprise appearance from Velveteen Dream ran them all off.

As Lumis and Dream brawled with Strong and Fish backstage, Cole was left alone in the ring, where the lights quickly went out. Now trapped in darkness, Cole watched as Scarlett appeared at the top of the ramp, slowly making her way down to the ring before placing an hourglass on the apron and flipping it over, starting the countdown as Cole watched on helplessly.
