WWE Applies For New Saturday Night’s Main Event Trademarks

According to a new report from PWInsider, WWE has recently applied for several trademarks that may hint at the company trying to revive its Saturday Night’s Main Event brand.

The report states that on August 11, WWE applied for a handful of trademarks for “Saturday Night’s Main Event,” including trademarks for a wide variety of things, including clothing, toys, accessories, and much more. WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event was a program that premiered on NBC in 1985. The program ran through 1992, and was brought back for five episodes in 2006 before ending in 2008. Whether or not the company is looking to host special Saturday Night’s Main Event branded shows is unknown, but it will be interesting to see what WWE has planned.
