AEW Dynamite Viewership Sees Drop For Saturday Show, Still Earns Top 5 Demo Score

All Elite Wrestling was pre-empted this week and saw a small drop in viewership but still ended up with a top-five spot in the key demo.

According to ShowBuzzDaily, AEW Dynamite’s Saturday run brought in 755,000 viewers, which is down from the 792,000 viewers the show brought in during their normal Wednesday 8 pm EST time slot last week. Additionally, this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite scored a 0.31 in the 18-49 demo. This number is down from 0.32 last week but still good enough to score a top-five ranking. It’s worth noting that the listing states data tracking began at 6:34 pm EST, which is after the NBA basketball game had ended.

NXT had a rare unopposed night this past week as All Elite Wrestling moved to Saturday due to the NBA playoffs airing on TNT, and they ended up with a year-high in viewers at 853,000.

For those keeping track of the “ratings war” between AEW and NXT, despite airing on different nights this week, NXT brought in more viewers than AEW, but AEW still won the demo battle as NXT drew a .24 unopposed.

AEW Dynamite will once again be pre-empted this week as the show will air on Thursday due to NBA Playoff action.
