The Bella Twins Introduce Their Sons To The World

Meet Matteo Artemovich and Buddy Dessert, the infant sons of Nikki and Brie Bella, respectively. The pregnancies of Nikki and Brie Bella were highly publicized, and now that their children have been born, the stars of Total Bellas have introduced them to the world. In an exclusive interview with Christina Dugan of People Magazine, Nikki and Brie discussed the births of Matteo and Buddy.

Looking back on Matteo’s birth, Nikki said she and her fiancé Artem Chigvintsev weren’t quite ready to welcome their son into the world. “‘Artem and I were so not prepared,'” said Nikki va via Dugan. “‘We barely had bags packed. I labored for 22 hours, and I pushed for two hours while wearing a mask because of COVID-19. It was 118 degrees in Phoenix, and our room wouldn’t get colder than 76 degrees, so I was burning hot the whole time.'”

Still, Nikki said it has all been worth it. “‘I’ve been up since 3 a.m., but this is what I’ve wanted my whole life,'” said Nikki via Dugan. “‘The fact that he’s here — I’m just so in love and happy.'”

Brie shared her sister’s joyous attitude. “‘…Like Nikki said, the love is just so overpowering that even though you’re so tired, that bliss just takes over,'” said Brie via Dugan.

Brie contrasted Buddy’s birth from that of her first child, Birdie. “‘This experience was so different from my last — just to walk into a c-section and be completely alert,'” said  Brie via Dugan. “‘When they pulled out Buddy, they put down the curtain, and my husband [Daniel Bryan] was like, “Oh, I got a boy!” We were really overwhelmed with joy.'”

Finally, Nikki compare Buddy and Mateo to each other and said they have a lot in common. “‘What’s crazy about Buddy and Mateo is, they both have the same scream-cry,'” said Nikki via Dugan. “‘It’s the cutest high-pitch noise and they’re identical. Even their coos are identical and they’re so cute.'”
