ROH Wrestling Results (10/5/20): PJ Black vs. Tony Deppen

In a video package, Tony Deppen describes his background. He says this tournament is extremely important to him. Deppen says his interest in punk rock and skateboarding have influenced him to always get up and to do everything himself. He says Ring of Honor’s old-school pure wrestling has always attracted him. Deppen says PJ Black has the experience advantage, but Black doesn’t know anything about him. Deppen vows to always get back up. “You’re gonna have to kill me to get this done,” Deppen says. “Failure is not an option.”

In a video package, PJ Black reflects on his well-traveled background and his family’s history with combat sports. He says he has trained in various styles, including the time he learned from shamans. Black says he has crafted his own hybrid style, and he’s worked for most of the top companies on the planet. He says he’s excited to show Brian Johnson what pure, excellent wrestling looks like. Black says he’s in this tournament because it’s what he was born to do. He wants to show everyone he’s one of the best pure wrestlers on the planet.
