Mike Bennett recently appeared Trending With Taven, a new ROH show hosted by Matt Taven. He discussed his return to Ring of Honor, how he has changed since he left the company, and his thoughts on Vincent.
Bennett left ROH five years ago and has since worked for IMPACT Wrestling and WWE, but explained why he made the call to finally come “home” and reunite with Taven.
“I’ve been wrestling a very, very long time and for some reason, over the last five years, that’s kind of gone on the wayside. People seemed to have forgotten what Mike Bennett can do, exactly who Mike Bennett is. So let me make that perfectly clear right now. My name is Mike Bennett, and I’m a professional wrestler.”
“Coming back, I’ve noticed like, I’m a big fan of the sport of professional wrestling, I’m a student, I’m a fan, so I’ve been watching Ring of Honor for as long as I can remember. And especially when I left, I kept tabs on you. I always kept tabs on you because that’s what friends do. But one thing that just kept coming back to me, kept coming back to me, kept coming back to me, was there was something missing. There was something not there. There’s something that I feel like I could help with. You needed someone to have your back, and I made sure I had your back.”
