Fans have had a good idea for quite some time now that the Christmas edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown would be filmed ahead of time and that news has now been confirmed.
WWE has confirmed that the episode will be recorded this coming Tuesday, and fans are invited to join this taping via the WWE ThunderDome. Spots normally fill up fast, and as of this writing, there are still some spots available.
This gives fans a special opportunity to see the show before it airs in front of fans globally. Of course, with shows like this that are filmed ahead of time, spoilers will likely be available shortly after the recording ends. While superstars will get Christmas Day off this year, they won’t be as lucky for New Year’s Day. WWE will run a live episode of SmackDown on January 1.
