Report: Riho Finished With Stardom

Riho is all All Elite.

According to a report from F4WOnline‘s Dave Meltzer, Riho finished up with the Japanese-based women’s promotion on Saturday. It was noted that Stardom wanted its talent to be exclusive to them, but she is still under contract with All Elite Wrestling.

Riho has not been seen on AEW television since March 18, in a four-way match won by current AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida. That match, which also included Penelope Ford and Kris Statlander, marked Riho’s fourth consecutive loss in AEW. The first loss in that streak was a title loss to Nyla Rose, ending her championship reign at 133 days.

Despite being absent from AEW due to travel restrictions in place because of the pandemic, Riho has been working for Stardom during the pandemic; her last match was a tag team loss to Mayu Iwatani & Starlight Kid at Stardom Year-End Climax 2020. It remains to be seen when she will appear on AEW programming again, but she is one of the new action figures included in the latest wave of AEW Unrivaled action figures from Jazwares.
