NXT could be moving to Tuesday nights sooner than later.
According to a new report from PWInsider.com, several sources have confirmed that the first episode of NXT after WrestleMania 37 is listed as taping on Tuesday, April 13. It was noted that rumors of NXT’s move to Tuesdays have been making the rounds, but now it’s a little more certain considering the production calendar for Wrestlemania week currently lists April 13 as the taping date.
This still doesn’t confirm NXT is permanently moving (and WWE has yet to publicly comment or confirm these reports) but it looks like NXT will be moving to Tuesdays, running opposite of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS.
Reports of NXT’s move to Tuesday night was first reported by the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast, and confirmed by the Wrestling Observer. It was noted then that the move wasn’t finalized just yet but is in its final stages. Mat Men first reported the move could begin after WrestleMania this year on April 13, which is now listed on the production calendar.
NXT will host NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on back-to-back nights on Wednesday, April 7 and 8. The first part of the event will air at 8:00 p.m. ET on USA Network, and the second night airing on Thursday, April 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET exclusively on Peacock, NBC’s newest streaming service and the future home of all WWE content.
