At WWE Fastlane, Riddle made his first pay-per-view defense of the WWE United States Championship. Mustafa Ali hoped to bounce back from his loss to Riddle this past week on WWE RAW with a win on Sunday night.
In the end, Riddle withstood Ali’s best efforts and walked away with the win.
With Retribution watching on at ringside, Ali tried his best to pull off the upset. Early on, he countered a Bro-ton with a kick to the back. Ali took control, but he kept taking his eye off the ball by talking to his stablemates.

Later in the match, Ali hit an acrobatic backstabber for a near fall. He continued to ground the champion, but Riddle rallied with a flurry of offense. Riddle countered a roll-up into a Fisherman Buster, but Ali locked in the Koji Clutch. The champion fought his way out of it, and he ultimately put Ali with a Super Bro Derek to win the match.
After the match, Ali yelled at his stablemates and blamed them for his loss. Reckoning defied him and walked out on him. Likewise Slapjack abandoned his leader.
HIGH JUSTICE for @AliWWE.

Finally, Mace and T-Bar turned on Ali and dropped him with a double chokeslam.
