One night after his brutal battle with Sheamus at WWE Fastlane, Drew McIntyre faced The Hurt Business in a match with WrestleMania implications.
The former WWE Champion faced Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin in a handicap match. By defeating the duo, McIntyre ensured that the duo would be banned from ringside for his WWE Championship match against Bobby Lashley at WWE WrestleMania 37.
Despite The Hurt Business’ communication difficulties in recent weeks, the duo had McIntyre on the ropes at a few points. But “The Scottish Warrior” was just too powerful for the former WWE RAW Tag Team Champions.
A finally flurry of offense, punctuated by a Claymore to Alexander, earned McIntyre the victory.
