Report by Colin Tessier for Wrestlezone.com

Quinn McKay welcomes viewers and previews the show. She explains the rules for the Pure Wrestling Gauntlet Match, which will be contested under pure rules.

In a pre-match promo, Beer City Bruiser says he’s sick and tired of getting nowhere, so he’s going to win by any means necessary. On the other hand, Bennett says people have been pushing his buttons since he returned. He vows that fans can expect to see a methodical, deliberate act of violence in this match.

Mike Bennett vs. Beer City Bruiser

Matt Taven joins the broadcast team for this match. Bruiser attacks Bennett during his entrance and tosses him over the barricade. Bennett fights back, but the big man overpowers him. The competitors trade blows, and Bennett takes Bruiser down with a kick to the knee and a forearm.

Bruiser targets Bennett’s injured ankle, and Taven’s teammate limps around the ring. The big man continues to viciously attacks Bennett’s ankle, but a flurry of offense gives the ROH veteran some breathing room. Bennett drills Bruiser with a dropkick, but the big man crushes him with a crossbody.

Bruiser gets a near fall with a modified DDT. He smashes a beer bottle and moves to use it on Bennett. The referee calls for the bell.

Winner via disqualification: Mike Bennett

Taven makes the save and clears Bruiser from the ring.

Pure Wrestling Gauntlet Match

Dante Caballero and Will Ferrara begin the match by exchanging technical holds. In a battle of a student and his teacher, Ferrara grounds Caballero for a minute, but the match is a stalemate early on.

Ferrara sends Caballero to the mat with a wristlock driver. He focuses his attack on Caballero’s arm and maintains the advantage. Caballero hits a gut-buster, but Ferrara gets the pin with a roll-up.

World Famous CB is the next competitor. They shake hands, burying the hatchet after their bitter feud from a few years ago. They feel each other out with technical holds. The two competitors are evenly matched early on. CB eventually gains the upper hand, but Ferrara reverses a pin into a face-lock. CB pins Ferrara with a straightjacket position after a powerbomb counter.

ROH Dojo student Eric Martin enters the match next. Martin and CB trade holds, and Martin takes control with a big boot and three elbow drops. He slams CB to the mat and forces him to use a rope break. A clothesline earns Martin a two count.

CB plants Martin with a superkick. Martin locks in the Boston Crab, and CB uses his last rope break to escape. CB takes Martin down with a Judo throw and locks in an innovative submission to make Martin tap. Wheeler YUTA is the next competitor.
