Steve Maclin is counting down the days.
Maclin, formerly known as Steve Cutler in WWE, posted the following promo video teasing he has just 30 more days until he’ll be free to work where he’d like after his non-compete clause expires. Set to “That’s Life” by Frank Sinatra, Maclin is shown drinking whiskey while he reviews some documents on the desk in front of him.

Cutler was released by WWE in February. At the time, he called it “shocking, to say the least” but he remained excited for his future and thanked fans for their continued support. Cutler’s release was allegedly a result of having heat with Vince McMahon after he had contracted COVID-19 in early January. Both Fightful Select and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported the belief was that McMahon was “livid” about the New Year’s Eve party Cutler attended which resulted in a positive result in the first place.
Both Fightful and WON confirmed Cutler had been present at the WWE Performance Center as a bump guy for the “big man” class at the facility. Despite his termination, sources indicated to Fightful that the “door was open” for a return down the line.
