Jaxson Ryker Says He’s ‘Clicking Pretty Well’ With Elias, They Share A Lot Of The Same Views On Wrestling

Jaxson Ryker says he and Elias have a lot in common, and it’s leading to success on WWE TV.

Jaxson Ryker recently spoke with Wrestling for the Faith with Casey Kage to speak about his relationship with Jesus. During the call, Ryker talked about his current run in WWE with Elias on RAW. Ryker said he’s really enjoying his time with Elias because he’s always been a fan of tag team wrestling, and they’ve really gotten along due to sharing similar views in wrestling.

“It’s going great. I can’t say never—with TNA I was a tag team guy with James Storm for quite some time—but tag team wrestling is something that always has captivated me. As a kid, I enjoyed watching tag wrestling, so to get a chance to part from The Forgotten Sons and come into RAW and team with Elias, we’re having a lot of fun,” Ryker said. “I think we’re clicking pretty well for two guys that have only been together since roughly December or January.”

“We’re having a lot of fun, man. We’ve got a lot of the same views when it comes to wrestling and entertainment. It’s just a good time, dude. It seems like we’re making everybody happy and getting a chance to work with New Day and Randy Orton, Matt Riddle last week. We’re clicking,” he said. “We’re having a blast.”

Ryker was a member of the Forgotten Sons stable until they were split up last year. Ryker caught plenty of heat from fans and colleagues after he Tweeted his support for President Donald Trump during last year’s Black Lives Matter protests. His former stablemates, Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler, distanced themselves from Ryker and were two of the many WWE stars that said they did not share his views.

After several months of inactivity, Ryker was paired with Elias last year. Blake and Cutler were both released earlier this year due to matters that were reported to be unrelated to Ryker’s comments.
