W. Morrissey: It’s ‘Nothing Truly Personal’ With Willie Mack, He’s Just In The Wrong Place At The Wrong Time

W. Morrissey has his sights set on Willie Mack at Under Siege, but he says it’s just business at the end of the day.

W. Morrissey, fka Big Cass and CazXL, recently spoke with WrestleZone ahead of IMPACT Wrestling’s Under Siege special event on May 15. Morrissey arrived in IMPACT at the Rebellion pay-per-view as the surprise replacement for Eric Young in Violent By Design’s eight-man tag match, and it was pointed out that he appeared to already have an issue with Mack by the night’s end. When asked if he had a particular beef with the former X Division Champion, Morrissey said it all came down to Mack being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“My issue? There’s nothing truly personal against the guy, he’s just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I came back and I was looking to take out some of my frustrations and a lot of my resentment from my past in the wrestling industry,” he explained, “and he just so happened to be across the ring from me when the bell rang that night and he just so happened to piss me off.”

“So, there’s nothing personal against him. It could’ve been any one of those four guys across the ring, but he irritated me in the match and I’m looking to take out my frustrations on him. I’ll take my frustrations out on everybody if I have to,” Morrissey said, “but I’ll start with him.”

Morrissey was asked if there’s anyone else he wants to work with after he deals with Mack on Saturday, and he made it clear that he has world championship aspirations with IMPACT. Noting that there is the obstacle of the six-way match at Under Siege in his way, Morrissey said it doesn’t matter who he has to go through because he’s still locked on the title.

“Willie Mack, to start, is someone that I want to take my frustrations out on. I don’t think anybody gets into the industry and goes into a specific company without their sights set on the top. So, whether it’s Kenny Omega or one of the six people that are in the number one contender’s match this weekend at Under Siege,” Morrissey stated, “whoever ends up being the IMPACT World Champion is someone that I have my sights set on. Whether I have to go through five more people to get to that person, or two more people or 45 people to get to the IMPACT World Champion, that’s where I have my sights set.”

IMPACT Wrestling’s Under Siege special will air on May 15 on IMPACT Plus; stay tuned for our full interview with W. Morrissey next week!
