Kona Reeves Released By WWE

Alongside many other superstars, Kona Reeves, also known as Noah Kekoa, was released by WWE on Friday.

The news was first reported by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, with Reeves joining a shockingly long list of superstars, most of whom were on the NXT brand, that were let go. Reeves has been with WWE since 2014. He began working at NXT live events in April 2015 before he made his first major appearance in September as part of the first Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

After appearing sporadically throughout the years, Reeves’ prominence on the show slowed in 2018, as he stopped making regular appearances. Since then, his matches on NXT have been few and far between. In a post on Twitter shortly after the news broke, Reeves simply thanked both WWE and NXT, confirming the news he had been released.
