Brody King Unable To Compete At NJPW Resurgence; King Comments As Replacement Is Made

Brody King will not be competing at NJPW Resurgence tonight. The announcement was made on the New Japan Pro-Wrestling website which only cites unforeseen circumstances as the reason for King’s absence. King, however, hopped on social media to assure fans that he’s okay, but his battle with Tom Lawlor and his Team Filthy will have to wait for the full wrath of Violence Unlimited.

Due to King not being able to attend, Resurgence will be seeing a few shift arounds on tonight’s card. King will be replaced by Adrian Quest in his multi-man tag match against Team Filthy. Quest, who was originally supposed to wrestle in a multi-man match of his own, will be replaced by Jordan Clearwater in what is billed as a dark match. You can read the full NJPW write-up below:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Brody King will be unable to compete at Resurgence. We apologize to fans who were looking forward to seeing King wrestle, and appreciate your understanding.

Dark Match

(Original Match): Adrian Quest, Kevin Knight & The DKC vs Barrett Brown, Bateman & Misterioso

(Replacement Match): Jordan Clearwater, Kevin Knight & The DKC vs Barrett Brown, Bateman & Misterioso
