Prior to tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Sammy Guevara shocked All Elite Wrestling fans and his girlfriend by popping the question in the ring.

Coming out before the show, Guevara praised his girlfriend for being with him through both the good and thew bad times in his life. He then surprised her by telling her to come into the ring. With the crowd chanting her name, Guevara said that he’s often wondered on his journey what he would do without her, and that he wants to make sure he never has to find out. He then got down on one knee and proposed to her, and she said “Yes.”
Later in the night, after shining before the show began, Guevara shined in the ring, where he faced off against his rival, Shawn Spears in a singles match. In an electric back-and-forth match, it was Guevara who came out on top despite Spears surviving everything from multiple knee strikes to the head, all the way to being slammed down onto a security barrier.

Still, Guevara’s tenacity shined through, as “The Spanish God” finally put “The Chairman” away with three consecutive knee strikes before he hit his finisher for the emphatic win.
