The Street Profits Beat The Usos By DQ, Paul Heyman Gets A ‘Beastly’ Phone Call

The Street Profits Beat The Usos By DQ

The Street Profits picked up a win against the The Usos this week on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.

While the result came via a disqualification, it still could lead to the former champions getting a shot at the gold, as this bout was a Championship Contenders contest.

For a few minutes, both teams went back and forth, showing why they’re considered two of the company’s best duos all the while.

In the end, Montez Ford almost pinned Jimmy Uso with his signature frog splash, but Jey Uso broke up the pin. Jey kept attacking Ford, leaving the official no choice but to disqualify the champions.

In a post-match brawl, the Street Profits gained the upper hand, so the prospective challengers stood tall when it was all said and done.

Paul Heyman Gets A ‘Beastly’ Phone Call

“The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns was upset by his cousins’ failure to beat the Street Profits. But he’ll likely be even more concerned when he finds out about a certain phone call that Paul Heyman got.

Heyman, the special counsel to the WWE Universal Champion, was backstage, on his way to bring the Usos to Reigns, when his phone rang. The ringtone was the theme song of  “The Beast Incarnate” himself, Brock Lesnar. Heyman answered the phone and vaguely told the person on the other end of the line that he’d give “him” presumably Reigns, the message.

Given Lesnar’s return at WWE SummerSlam, when he confronted Reigns, it’s fair to assume he has his sights set on the champion, and with Heyman’s loyalty increasingly called into question, it’ll be interesting to see how “The Head of the Table” responds.
