GCW: Highest In The Room Results (9/17/21)

Ninja Mack vs. Atticus Cogar 

Cogar spits in Mack’s face to begin the match and gets a two count with a roll-up. They exchange holds early on, as the high-flying Mack showcases some more traditional wrestling. Mack takes Cogar with down an arm drag and works his arm. Mack does multiple handspring flips before he dives onto Cogar outside the ring.

Cogar gains the upper hand and slaps Mack in the face before he throws his opponent out of the ring. A DDT leaves Mack practically motionless, and Cogar puts him in a Cobra Clutch. Mack rallies with a superkick, but Cogar dodges a spinning dive before he slams Mack head-first to the mat. Cogar unmasks Mack, puts his mask on, and drives skewers into his head en route to victory.

Winner: Atticus Cogar 

Starboy Charlie, Nick Wayne, and Lucas Riley vs. Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner, AJ Gray and Matthew Justice) 

Matthew Justice and Nick Wayne start the bout. The youngers hold their own with S.G.C., but they’re clearly the underogs. Justice blasts Charlie from behind and the veterans briefly take control before Charlie drops Warner and Justice with a double DDT. Charlie gains the upper hand, but Justice knocks him down with a chop.

Justice knocks Charlie off the apron and sends him crashing into the front row. He dumps Charlie face-first onto the apron and slams him onto the hard surface again. Lucas Riley rallies and dives to the outside, alongside Charlie, and Wayne dives on the other side of the ring. The young stars gang up on Warner, and Wayne drills him with a knee. Gray catches Wayne and slams him to the mat.

Charlie, Wayne and Riley all dive onto their opponents inside the ring. SGC takes control again, and they get some doors from underneath the ring. Warner tosses a chair into the ring, and S.G.C. blasts the youngsters with chairshots. Riley saves his partners and takes Justice down with a super hurricanrana. Charlie hits a 450 splash, but Warner and Gray break up the pin by hitting him with doors.

In the end, S.G.C. earn the win with a legdrop/splash combination.

Winners: Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner, AJ Gray and Matthew Justice)

Alex Colon vs. G-Raver

Colon and G-Raver square off and fight for positioning. G-Raver dives onto Raver outside the ring, and the two men battle at ringside. Raver smashes Colon with a light tube and slices his head with the broken weapon.

Colon responds with a dive and smashes Raver with a light tube on his way down. He gets a ladder and slices Raver with a broken light tube. Colon continues to push Raver with broken light tubes, but Raver rallies with a suplex. Raver slams Colon onto some tubes on top of a ladder.

A knee strike rocks Colon, and Raver grinds his face with a light tube. Colon sends Raver through a door with a diving stomp off a ladder. Both men have been bloodied, but they kept figthing. Raver blasts Colon with a senton on the turnbuckle and takes him down with a super hurricanrana through some light tubes on a ladder, but Colon still kicks out. Colon gets a two count with a Code Red after he smashes a light tube in Raver’s face.

Colon kicks out of a Meteora through light tubes and suplexes Raver on his head. Colon locks in the Camel Clutch and Raver passes out, so the referee calls for the bell.

Winner: Alex Colon

Chris Dickinson vs. Jacob Fatu

Dickinson and Fatu face off, and Dickinson drives Fatu into the ropes. He slaps the big man, angering him in the process, and chops him some more. Fatu blasts him with a superkick and sends him hard into the turnbuckles. Fatu hits a back handspring splash of sorts for a two count. Dickinson chops Fatu again, but Fatu regains control. The powerhouse grounds Dickinson, who rallies with some stiff strikes.

Fatu slams him to the mat, but Dickinson dodges a diving headbutt. Dickinson floors Fatu with a clothesline. He gets a two count with a Death Valley Driver. Dickinson traps Fatu in an ankle lock, but the powerhouse escapes and hits a Samoa Drop. Fatu secretly hits Fatu with an illegal object and it busts him open.

Fatu continues to attack Dickinson with a tool used to tighten the turnbuckles, and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner via disqualification: Chris Dickinson

Several people rush to the ring when Fatu keeps beating up Dickinson and the referee. Starboy Charlie tries to make the save, but Fatu plants him with the pop-up Samoan Drop.

Juicy Finau helps Fatu regain control when Dickinson rallies with a flurry of offense. The two men beat Dickinson down until the locker room clears the ring. Left by themselves, Starboy Charlie and Dickinson leave the ring together.

Tony Deppen vs. Ron Funches (with Paul Scheer)

Funches wears a Ric Flair-like robe on his way to the ring. The ring announcer calls him “The World’s Most Dangerous Man.”

Deppen and Funches lock up, with the former Ring of Honor World Television Champion showing some blatant disrespect toward his enemy. Funches slaps Deppen in the face and takes him down with two arm drags. He sends Deppen to the outside with a dropkick. Deppen paces around the ring, collecting himself before he returns and locks Deppen in a sleeper hold. Scheer cheers Funches on, and the distraction prompts Deppen to let go.

Deppen drops Funches with a forearm shot. He blasts Funches with running knees. Some music plays, and Danhausen comes to ringside, carrying his signature jar of teeth. Danhausen’s presence throws Deppen off, and Funches gets some advice from the one they call “Very Nice, Very Evil.” Funches punches Deppen below the belt and pulls his trunks down. He hits two atomic drops while Deppen’s trunks are down.

Danhausen and Funches dance on the apron, and they kick Deppen while his trunks are still down.  Deppen regains the upper hand, but Funches powerbombs him through a door. Funches hits a Canadian Destroyer for a near fall.

Scheer betrays Funches by hitting him with a bucket. Scheer and Deppen embrace and start to beat down Funches, but Allie Katch makes the save. She drops Deppen with a piledriver and threatens Scheer with a knife. Katch chases Scheer to the back.

Funches drops Deppen with some punches, but Deppen chops him. Deppen hits Funches below the belt and stacks him up for the win.

Winner: Tony Deppen

Danhausen gets a chair and runs Deppen out of the ring. Funches and Deppen celebrate together.

Jonathan Gresham vs. Minoru Suzuki

Minoru Suzuki defeated Jonathan Gresham; after the match, Nick Gage confronted Suzuki.
