Kof Kingston On The Bloodline vs. The New Day: ‘Relax and Enjoy The Story That’s Being Told To You’

Tonight on WWE RAW, The New Day will face The Bloodline in a star-studded six-man tag team match. The announcement of this match stunned many fans, who thought it could have been built up as the main event of WWE Survivor Series, but Kofi Kingston believes fans should sit back and enjoy the ride.

In an interview with Rick Ucchino of Sportskeeda, Kingston explained why the quick turnaround for this match didn’t surprise him because anything can happen in WWE, and you have to be ready for everything. He emphasized that the WWE Universe should try to enjoy this bout without worrying about how it affects Survivor Series, as the two teams could potentially run it back down the road.

“Nothing surprises me,” said Kingston. “I mean, I think the great thing about WWE is that you don’t know what’s going on. I think a lot of people were upset. You know, people get upset when they can’t predict what’s happening. ‘Oh, why are we doing this now?’ You wanna talk about how to build a show, how about just enjoy the match that you’re about to get sooner than later?

“You don’t know what’s gonna happen at Survivor Series, we might do it again and do it even better. The way that we do things, man, is we work towards a great product, you know what I’m saying, in terms of telling a story so sit back and relax and enjoy the story that’s being told to you.”

Looking back on The New Day’s history with The Usos, Kingston described how their classic series of matches pushed the competitors to step their game up and deliver a better match each and every time. He noted that he expects this pattern to continue when the two sides clash again on Monday.

“When the Usos really started popping off, they got rid of their face paint and the traditional Samoan attire, and they started being more themselves, [just] as the New Day was coming up and we were trying to find ourselves,” said Kingston. “And we had these incredible, what the kids call bangers these days. We had these incredible matches that got better and better, exponentially, every single match.”

Only time will tell what happens next in this reignited feud, but for now, Kingston stated that he, along with Big E and Xavier Woods, are excited for the match on Monday because it should be another “banger.”

“We’re excited as competitors and performers because like I said, all those guys, The Bloodline, they’re incredible performers,” said Kingston. “They have it in their blood, no pun intended, but they been doing this for a long time, and like I said, man, anytime we get together, it’s always a banger. So we’re looking forward to it tonight, and then who knows where it goes from there?”
