Christopher Daniels Teases ‘Second Coming’ With Online Vignette

Christopher Daniels is teasing his comeback story.

In a short vignette posted on his Twitter page, the veteran competitor, who hasn’t wrestled in AEW since SCU lost to the Young Bucks on the May 12 episode of Dynamite, stated that he lost it all, but that defeat might have set up a “new beginning.”

“When you go to war, you know, in your heart, that there will be trauma, trauma that causes wounds,” said Daniels. “And some wounds heal. But others become scars. Scars that remind you of your mistakes. I had a plan and it failed. I had a partner, and I let him down. I gambled everything and I lost it all.

“And now, I’m all alone. I’ve got no goal. No cause, no team, nothing to fight for, except the right to keep fighting. So I fight. And since I’ve lost it all, I’ve got nothing left to lose. After 28 years, what I thought was the end might actually be a new beginning.”

The brief video includes clips of SCU’s loss to the Young Bucks, in which Daniels was beaten to a bloody pulp. Due to this defeat, Daniels and Frankie Kazarian had to break up, and the 51-year-old walked away, seemingly teasing his retirement, on the subsequent episode of Being The Elite. The clip also shows his injured eye; additionally, Daniels is seen wearing a “Fallen Angel” shirt and some gear that’s similar of the attire he wore in his TNA days.

Christopher Daniels’ new vignette comes at the right time, as he is expected to return to television in the near future. Read more about when and where Daniels will show up again at this link (includes spoilers).

Elsewhere, Daniels will compete for DEFY Wrestling on October 14 at the promotion’s “Hell Bent” event.
