ROH Wrestling Results (10/18/21): LFI Defend Tag Team Titles

A brief video hypes up the Pure vs. Violence episode this upcoming weekend.

The Foundation (Jonathan Gresham, Jay Lethal, Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus) vs. World Famous CB, Taylor Rust, Eli Isom and Joe Keys

Before the bout, Isom says he and his teammates want to help show that pure wrestling is alive and well in ROH. Likewise, Lethal says the eight men in this match are determined to demonstrate that pure wrestling is the right way to compete. Williams says The Foundation is the measuring stick of Pure Wrestling.

To kick off the action, several of the competitors feel each other out with technical holds. CB and Titus go back and forth. A kick to the head rocks Titus, who has been busted open by a headbutt. Isom grounds Titus, and Lethal tags in. “The Franchise” and Isom exchange holds, and Isom blocks the Lethal Combination. He catches Lethal with a dropkick.

Gresham and his student, Keys tag in. They feel each other out, and Keys drops Gresham with a suplex. “The Octopus” sends Keys to the floor with a dropkick. Titus grounds Keys before Rust makes a hot tag. Lethal and Rust trade blows on the apron. Rust gains the upper and continues to control the bout for his team.

He blasts Titus with a kick. They exchange strikes before Lethal and Isom tag in. Isom stuns Lethal with a flurry of strikes. Lethal plants Isom with a cutter. Williams and Keys tag in and trade blows. “Hot Sauce” drops Keys with a Lariat. Gresham tags in and battles his student again. He suplexes Keys, who fires back with a clothesline.

Gresham locks in a nasty leg trap submission and forces Keys to tap out.

Winners: The Foundation

The two teams adhere to the Code of Honor after the match.

In a promo, Vincent says it doesn’t get any more pure than him, and now that he’s on top of the mountain, he’s moving onto a new mission. The blood he has shed in the past has been necessary for the processs of purification.
