Hacksaw Jim Duggan is in the hospital after having emergency surgery.
According to new posts on his respective social media accounts, Jim Duggan was sent to the hospital on Wednesday and had emergency surgery for an undisclosed ailment.
“Back where we don’t want to be,” Duggan’s wife wrote on his official Twitter account. “Please pray for Jim and his doctors as he has emergency surgery this morning. Thank you, Debra.”
Hacksaw Jim Duggan has had some health issues in the past, including a stay in the ICU around Thanksgiving in 2018. After he was discharged from the hospital, Duggan explained that his heart when into “afib” (Atrial fibrillation). He later had a heart-related procedure in March 2019.
Update: Jake “The Snake” Roberts posted the following, noting that Duggan is recovering from his surgery:

Duggan’s account also posted the following statement:
“Out of surgery and back in his room. Everything went well. Thank you for your prayers, good vibes and good thoughts. You can keep them coming in.”

Hacksaw Jim Duggan spoke with WrestleZone last year, and credited a lot of his success in life to Debra, his wife of 35 years. Duggan said the strong bond that the two share is what has made this aspect of his career so rewarding.
“Well support at home, you know. My wife. People say it takes two. Look, back in the day the guy is on the road, he would usually have the one-night stand but the wife is the one at home and she’s the one that’s having the affair. She sees the same guy at the grocery store and so that’s why there’s such a high divorce rate in wrestling. Deborah, like I said, 35 years together, my best friend. She travels on the show with me, on the stand up shows.”
