Hacksaw Jim Duggan reveals he was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan posted a new video on Instagram and revealed he will be having surgery on Friday for the cancer and asked for fans to keep him in their thoughts as he goes to Charleston (South Carolina) for the procedure.
“Hi folks. Debra and I, we always share the good times with you, today we’ve got to share some bad times. I’ve been diagnosed with prostate cancer and I’m having my surgery tomorrow. Actually, it’s been going on for a couple of months now, and Deb and I have been living with it and getting ready. The reality is here and I’m going down to Charleston tomorrow to have my cancer surgery. So folks, I know you’ve been thinking and praying for me about this last surgery,” Duggan said. “Please think of me this Friday as I go in for my cancer surgery down in Charleston.”
Duggan said his wife will keep people updated on his recovery, but he plans on taking a break from social media for the time being.
Duggan was hospitalized last week and had emergency surgery on October 20 for what was an undisclosed ailment at the time. Duggan has had some health issues in the past, including a stay in the ICU around Thanksgiving in 2018, which he later revealed to be caused by his heart going into Atrial fibrillation.
