Scarlett Bordeaux has been released by WWE.
WWE made several cuts on Thursday, with Scarlett Bordeaux being one of the names confirmed on the list. On Thursday, Scarlett posted the following statement, confirming she was released by WWE.
“Officially free to work in 30 days,” Scarlett wrote. “And yes…The Smokeshow is back.”
Scarlett Bordeaux had a tryout with WWE in September 2019 and WWE announced she signed a contract in November of that year. She made her debut alongside Karrion Kross, her real-life fiancé, on the May 6, 2020 episode of NXT. Scarlett primarily served as Kross’ manager, but also worked a dark match against Shotzi Blackheart before the June 25 episode of WWE SmackDown.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, budget cuts were cited as the reason for the releases in an email sent to talent by John Laurinaitis. Kross was also released by the company on Thursday.
