Booker T says Grease is the word.
Booker T recently spoke with WrestleZone ahead of Reality Of Wrestling’s “One Night In Vegas” event on November 19. Asked if there was a standout match or moment that took place in Las Vegas during his career, Booker shared a few that came to mind, but took place outside of the squared circle.
“I got a hat downstairs that the Jacksons —Michael Jackson and his family, I got a chance to meet them there— and they made me this Harlem Heat hat and it’s so cool. I remember my brother and I were sitting in the MGM Grand, way back in the day and my brother is a big fan of the movie Grease, and he goes ‘I wonder where Frankie Valli [who performed the title track of the movie] is right now.’ And low and behold,” Booker explained, “we look to the left and Frankie Valli is sitting right next to us in the booth. We got a chance to meet Frankie Valli and we brought Sherri Martel to the show that night, and Frankie Valli sang [his 1962 single] “Sherry” [to us] and I was like ‘wow, this is so cool!’”

Booker also said that Las Vegas was important to his family as well, as he and his wife Sharmell went on their honeymoon in the city, taking a break in between touring with WWE.
“Vegas man, it goes back a long way going to that city. I’ve always had nothing but great times in Vegas. I just came back from Vegas last week and sealed the deal for Reality Of Wrestling’s “One Night In Vegas” and I had a great time even then. For my wife and I, our honeymoon — in professional wrestling, you don’t get a chance to be away from the game too long and I was right in the middle of angles and whatnot, so my wife and I took a two-day vacation to Vegas and did the honeymoon. We got right back on the road and did it up, so this is a place that my wife and I hold near and dear to our heart, and more importantly than that, it’s a place where we’ve had a lot of great action doing what we do, and that’s professional wrestling. We’re getting a chance to bring our company, Reality Of Wrestling, to the MGM Grand on November 19, it’s going to be a night to remember.
“I promise, Booker T, the six-time world champion, the show — you’re going to love it. The matches, you’re going to love the matches. At the end of the night, you’re going to be like a kid that just left a good movie, saying ‘Man, I cannot wait to see more of Reality Of Wrestling!”
