The Undertaker says you’ll start seeing more of Mark Calaway now that his in-ring career has wrapped up.

The Undertaker was a guest on The Norm and D Invasion show on Sports Radio 96.7 The Ticket in Dallas to promote Wednesday’s WWE WrestleMania On-Sale Ticket Party at AT&T Stadium. Undertaker made the appearance on Wednesday and he was advertised without his trademark “Phenom” attire. Instead, he looked more like the “American Bad Ass” gimmick he used in the middle of his career.

Asked who he is now in public, whether it’s still his WWE character or Mark Calaway, he said that it’s more of a hybrid now in public and wants the Undertaker character to live on in people’s memories.

“You know what I’m somewhere caught in the middle, and that would be the “American Bad Ass,” I think. There was that run in the early 2000s where I moved away from the traditional Undertaker and I turned into the biker gimmick, which is just another extension of my real personality. So yeah, I’m kinda caught there in the middle between all three of those, really. You’re not going to see — unless it’s a very special kind of event — I’m going to kind of let that character rest and let the legacy of it just live in people’s memories. Mark Calaway will always be the Undertaker, it’s just now you’re going to get a little bit more insight on the Undertaker from Mark Calaway, if that makes sense.”

The WWE legend also said he’s in need of knee surgery and has some procedures lined up; read more about his physical health at this link.
