Jeff Hardy Confirms Length Of WWE Contract, Reveals ‘No More Words’ Was Part Of The Deal

Jeff Hardy will be under contract with WWE for at least another year.

A September 2020 report from PWInsider revealed that Hardy’s new contract was “closer to two to three years in length and not five years.”

In an interview with BT Sport, Hardy mentioned the length of his deal while he was discussing the return of his old theme song, “No More Words.” He stated that he signed for two more years, and the ability to use “No More Words” was part of this agreement.

“I was [waiting for the fans to come back], and that was the deal when I re-signed,” said Hardy. “I was like ok, I’ll sign for two more years, as long as I get my old theme from ’08 or ’09 called, ‘No More Words.’ And [I] came to find they own the song, so there was no reason I couldn’t. So yeah, the night, my first night in front of a live audience, man, I got it back and man, just like it never left. It was so powerful, man. And I think they realized, ‘Okay yeah, that was a good decision.”

Hardy went on to describe how he’s glad to have his theme song back, and he continues to enjoy hearing it every night he performs for the live crowd. He noted that by using the song, he practically feels like it’s 2009 again.

“It’s like the same way it was back in ’09, you know, nothing’s changed except me being a little older,” said Hardy. “And I think people that didn’t know me back then kinds are still into it now. So yeah, it’s just been cool to hear the song each and every night and to feel their reaction and just to feel their passion for pro wrestling.”
