Bandido vs. Dante Martin, Will Ospreay Bout And More Set For Warrior Wrestling 17

Warrior Wrestling has announced a few major matches for its next show, “Warrior Wrestling 17” on December 12.

First, Ring of Honor World Champion Bandido will face breakout AEW star Dante Martin in a buzzworthy clash between two electric high-flyers. Bandido has been taking bookings in the aftermath of the announcement that ROH will be going on hiatus in the beginning of 2022 and reports that the company won’t be renewing the contracts of its talent roster at the end of 2021.

In another bout that’s being billed as a “dream match,” Trey Miguel, the reigning IMPACT X-Division Champion, will defend the Warrior Wrestling Championship against NJPW star Will Ospreay and renowned independent standout Blake Christian. As Trey Baxter, Christian had a brief run in WWE before he was released in a round of budget cuts on November 4, and he has been taking bookings ever since.

Plus, Thunder Rosa will put her Warrior Women’s Championship on the line against Mercedes Martinez in a bout that will pit two of the most respected women’s wrestlers in the business against each other. Rosa is currently signed with AEW while Martinez has been competing throughout the industry since her WWE release on August 6.

The updated card is as follows:

  • Fuego Del Sol vs. Carlos Romo
  • Bandido vs. Dante Martin
  • Warrior Women’s Championship: Thunder Rosa (c) vs Mercedes Martinez
  • Warrior Wrestling Championship: Trey Miguel (c) vs. Will Ospreay vs. Blake Christian
