Several performers connected to the NXT 2.0 brand are getting some new names.
According to PWInsider.com, the Mei Ying character that was associated with Xia Li and Boa has been quietly dropped from WWE NXT 2.0. Additionally, Karen Q (Karen Wu) who portrayed Mei Ying, has also changed her ring name to Wendy Choo.
PWInsider.com also reports the following NXT referees have been given new on-screen ring names:
- Aja Smith is now Daphne Lashaunn.
- DA Brewer is now Dallas Irvin.
- Tom Castor is now Derek Sanders.
WWE has also filed to trademark six names on November 15, including Wendy Choo:
- Mila Malani
- Wendy Choo
- Olymple Margaux
- Chip Danning
- Joey Tofino
- Die Familie
Mila Malanki is the ring name for new WWE signing Kellie Morga, and Olymple Margaux is the new ring name for referee Artemis.
