EC3 vs. Jay Lethal
In a pre-match promo, EC3 says all of our leaders have failed us, and we deserve more. He tells Lethal he heard his inspirational message at ROH Death Before Dishonor and calls it a massive cliche. He says we need to move forward, but we can’t because the upper levels remain the same. EC3 says Lethal works so hard, and he’s so tired, and he should be because he’s been doing this for so long. He says the company and the industry needs a new leader; people need to take control of their narrative. Lastly, EC3 tells Lethal that he can become the man he needs to be by fighting him.

In a backstage interview, Lethal says he hasn’t heard from The Foundation in a few days. He knows why they’re hurt, and it’s eating him alive. Lethal says the only way this can be fixed is for him to find The Righteous’ footage, but he can’t find it. He seems distracted and doesn’t comment on EC3.
Lethal and EC3 feel each other out with technical holds. EC3 takes Lethal down with a shoulder block early on. Lethal catches EC3 with a dropkick and takes the fight to him at ringside. Showing a new aggressive side, Lethal slams EC3 into the barricade. EC3 floors Lethal with a clothesline and slams him into the turnbuckle. He grounds “The Franchise” and talks some trash. EC3 drills Lethal with some clubbing blows, and he’s firmly in control.
Lethal fires up and fights back, and both men are down after a double crossbody. EC3 regains the advantage and talks some more trash. Both men go tumbling to the floor after Lethal knocks EC3 off the top rope. Back in the ring, they trade blows. “The Franchise” gains momentum with some clotheslines and the Lethal Combination. Lethal hits his diving elbow drop. Overwhelmed by his confusion about The Righteous’ manipulation from last week, he takes his eye off the ball, and EC3 drops him with a modified DDT.
Lethal hits a cutter out of nowhere. The clip of Lethal saying “I don’t even like The Foundation” plays on the video screen and confuses him. EC3 takes advantage by slamming Lethal and making him tap out to The Purpose.
Winner: EC3
